OFFBEAT BEATS

As an artist project, OBB takes up the role of a digitla journal capturing my daily moments and thoughts starting in autumn 2023, and following my trip going back home in China.

During the journey spans through four different cities, thoughts on cultural identity, belonging, and nostalgia were documented and designed as a collage of photos, writings, and illustrated elements.

The zine captures my reconnection with my roots and childhood, while brings up my reflection on my life as a culture nomad.

This zine is featured in the annual group show of Toronto's local Asian artist collective 'ShoesOff Collective's 2024 exhibition 'CHOSEN FAMILY'. Five copies were exhibited in Bevy Coffee during Jan 2024.
